In just over a week I will be three! I am eagerly looking forward to my birthday as I have been to lots of parties this year and seen Joe get lots of presents. I really love opening presents and ask my mum every day if its my birthday tomorrow.

My mum has been on a drive to try and make me sleep through the night. I promise every night to sleep until morning time. I managed it for 3 weeks but then my mum took the gate off my bedroom door and abandoned the monitor so now I just get up and go and wake her up at four thirty instead. I still take ages to go to sleep at bed time but I have been quite good and have actually stayed in my bedroom without my gate restraining me! For two weeks I tried the fake "I need a poo" as a means of escape but that soon wore thin and didn't go down well.

I am down to my last two dummies. My mum refuses to buy any new ones. I do actually have four left in the box but two are just stumps which I avoid like cheese and all things good for me. I don't know what I am going to do seen as these are on their last legs too. They are literally hanging there by a thread but I refuse to give them up. During the day I stick three fingers in my mouth or anything that I can find really. Today my mum put that horrid bite your nails stuff on my fingers and it tasted yuk. She has threatened to paint the toys with it too. Joe really bites his nails so he is covered in it and it also stops me from chewing him too!

I have become slightly more adventurous in my food repertoire. I absolutely love bacon - streaky is my favourite. I also like chicken wings and rice noodles which I eat at about 9.30am every saturday morning! Cherry takes Joe and I down to the playground on a saturday morning and when the shop round the pool opens just on a saturday they serve noodles and chicken. We then take them to the barbeque area and we tuck in. It has become a bit of a saturday morning ritual now. I also like hotdogs and any kind of mousse. So that's a fair bit of new stuff in the last 6 months! I have stopped eating paper and playdoh but maybe that's just my mum getting better at not leaving it lying about. I now don't mind drinking water and also juice out of a carton, still won't give up my baby bottle of milk...... though I fear that will be next. I love to play with my teapot and tea set and I sneak into the kitchen and fill it to the brim with water from the cooler and then pretend to make cups of tea which I then drink using a spoon and get most of it over the floor. That game usually doesn't last as long as I would like!

I started staying at school for an hour longer this week. I still go just for three days and the other two I help my mum at the supermarket or we go somewhere. I love the botanic gardens or going to someone's house to play. I still really like my play school. I love story time and dancing and I also love Hannah who I kiss a lot.

I try to play with Joe a lot. Whether this is successful largely depends on what kind of mood Joe is in and if he can stand me antagonizing him. Our favourite game is to play monsters where we run around the house shouting monster and running away from either an imaginary one or mum and then diving under duvets, the sofa or the rug which is now falling apart like everything we get our hands on.
